I came up with this recipe in the quest to find all- natural food coloring for frostings.... It turned out fabulous and delish!
Pomegranate Butter Frosting
1 bottle Pomegranate juice (this last time I used Pomegranate & Cherry)
1 cup butter, softened
powdered sugar
Pour juice into a small pot and bring to a rapid boil. Continue to boil until it is reduced to a syrup. Cool.
Whip butter, add 1 cup powdered sugar, juice syrup and blend together. Continue to add powdered sugar until you have reached desired consistency.
