The event took place in his room, when he wasn't sharing with his brother, and was being rather selfish. After his little episode, we were sitting on the couch and I was telling him what his punishments would be. I told him that he would loose his movie night privileges and that I would have to take his beloved Frank (the combine harvester from "Cars") away for the day. As anticipated, he immediately burst into tears, just sobbing! I was expecting him to beg me not to take his toy away, but I was totally shocked at the words that came out of his mouth next... "Do I have to go to hell?" I didn't know whether I wanted to laugh or cry! Of course, I explained to him, in a 4 year old version, that the blood of Jesus Christ covers all of our sins, and that he is willing to forgive those who ask of it.
Oh my gosh!!! How amazing that something as ordinary as that can be such a great opportunity to share Jesus' love with our kids:)
