A 3-Year-Old's Perspective of Death

I always enjoyed watching that old TV show, Kids Say the Darnest Things with Bill Cosby. I would practically die laughing at the funny things kids come up with, but it doesn't hold a candle to when it's your own kids!
Yesterday Jakob was playing with an empty water cooler and a small kid-size pitcher, and told me he was filling it up with gas. Thinking this was a great teaching moment, I piped up. The conversation went something like this:
MOMMY: "Ok, Jakob, but make sure you never, EVER drink gas. It's very bad for you."
JAKOB: "But what does it taste like." (not that I would know, but...)
MOMMY: "Very, VERY yucky. Don't ever drink it." (Here comes the ever dreaded "W" word)
JAKOB: "But, why?"
MOMMY: "Because if you drink it, it will make your tummy hurt VERY bad and you would DIE!" (dramatic emphasis on the last word)
JAKOB: "YEAH!!! Then I can go to heaven and see Jesus!!!!"
