In January we moved up to Washington. Only 4 short weeks after Ethan was born. We brought up the idea, thought it through, made the decision, and moved within 2 weeks time. Which means packing up the house 2- 3 weeks after having a c-section. (Don't tell my doctor.) Let me never remember the misery again. Thankfully I had Jason's loving family to help me pack. Jason got a job working for my dad's ever-growing business in Leavenworth. He is the go-to fix it man in the biz. Works like crazy. But it's so nice to be near my family.
Since the last post Ethan has added 8 pounds to his still petite figure. He's our little petite boy with a little "budda belly" as daddy calls it. He is so active, always standing on his legs (since he was only a month old), pulling himself up to a stand, rolling all over the place, blinks on command ("Do it again, Ethan, do it again") and this past week has added crawling to his repertoire. He loves his big brother and they love to play "Knock ya down" (Where I swing Ethan and pretend to hit Jakob and knock him down). Yes, yes, great thing to teach your kids, how to fight each other. Oh well, they'll learn it anyway.
Jakob turned 3 in January, and just finished swimming lessons this year. I am contemplating putting him in another level this year. He is very capable of doing everything they require of him, but doesn't focus very well, and gets distracted at his inquisitiveness of how big of splashes he can make. I feel sorry for the other kids in the class. He's a regular ol' water fish. Kobbers, as we call him, is very into the technilogical advances of the world. He loves daddy's iPhone (can run it better than me, and I'm not too shabby at it!), any speakers, wires, keyboards, mouses (or do I say mice) he can get his hands on. He is very into saying "How can I?" if I tell him no to something. Yesterday he said to me "Mommy? Why do you say no all the time?" Gee, thanks, kiddo.
Well this is starting to sound like a Christmas newsletter....
