A Good Day...

I love days like today. Today was a really good day. I find most days trying to balance my life as a mom, a wife, a housecleaner, a cook and a teacher. Most days I fail miserably in one way or another. Not saying that every day ends up in tears and discouragement over not being perfect at all. But I love when I somehow, unknowingly, or not even meaning to, find myself juggling all with great ease.
Today I was able to wash, dry and fold 5 loads of laundry, do 2 1/2 loads of dishes, make meals, clean up after each meal with ease, play with my boys, teach Jakob, clean the boys room (3 times throughout the day) and keep the rest of the house in good order. YEAH! I even folded my huge pile of socks, which to my husbands most wonderful suggestion took only 10 minutes! (His suggestion: toss out all mismatched socks, and get only ONE kind of sock per person. It works like a charm! As I folded them I told Jason I was in sock folding heaven... now who in their right mind would think they'd EVER say that!!!)
I am trying so hard to be a good wife and mother, it's nice to not fail every single day!

  2. I love that quote, thank you! Yes... I know that I can never be perfect- there is only One who can be, but I strive for it everyday, none-the-less.
