There is no doubt about it. I am in the ever dreaded 'in-between' stage. A belly big enough for me to tell there is a baby in it, but not the rest of the world. I want to wear a shirt that says "I'M PREGNANT" or "BABY DWELLING HEREIN" or something of that sort. To me, or anyone close to me, it looks obvious that I'm pregnant. Yesterday I dressed to go out, determined to wear something to show off my little belly (although I guess it's not so little for only being 14 weeks). It looked pretty obvious to me. But no one asked (I know they are just scared too... you don't want to go there until it's OB.VI.OUS.), someone even overheard me talking to another friend about 'not feeling well'... 'Oh, were you sick?'.
Anyway, I came home pretty disgusted. If my belly is protruding this much and no one knows/thinks I'm pregnant, they must really think I'm just getting FAT. Egh.
Then my hubby, out of nowhere, says to me... "Honey, you're looking really cute."
And all is right with the world.
I love that man.

ReplyDeleteI can totally empathize with you! Even at 28 weeks I get the "oh, you are pregnant, you look good" That is when I think to myself well do I always look this huge.
